TASK EIGHT - FIND ONE SONG ABOUT POVERTY
She calls out to the man on the street
'Sir, can you help me?
It's cold and I've nowhere to sleep,
Is there somewhere you can tell me?'

He walks on, doesn't look back
He pretends he can't hear her
Starts to whistle as he crosses the street
Seems embarrassed to be there
Analysis
This part of the song creates an image of a homeless woman asking a man passing for him to help her find a place to stay, the man than pretends to not hear the woman, whistling while he walks away in an attempt to camouflage him ignoring her. The premise of this song is to urge listeners to think about their effect on others, to not be ignorant towards others living with nothing.
